Ocean Institute

The Ocean Institute is a nonprofit organization in Southern California dedicated to ocean education and preservation. Through hands-on learning experiences, interactive exhibits, and community events, it aims to inspire young minds and foster a deep connection with marine biology, ocean science, and conservation. The institute's mission is to educate and empower future generations to care for the ocean and its ecosystems.

In her role as a Social Media/ Marketing Specialist, she has greatly contributed her graphic design, photography and videography skills in bringing the institute's mission to life visually and digitally. She creates captivating content that highlights educational programs, events, and exhibits, ensuring they resonate with diverse audiences. From designing engaging graphics and capturing compelling photographs of marine life and activities to crafting impactful social media campaigns, her work enhances the institute's reach and engagement. By weaving creativity with strategic communication, she helps drive awareness, support fundraising efforts, and fosters a community passionate about protecting and learning about our oceans.

This booklet is designed to inspire sponsors by showcasing the transformative power of the Ocean Institute’s Adopt-A-Class program. With a vibrant and visually engaging design by Tati Rose, the booklet highlights how sponsorships make hands-on marine science education accessible to students who might not otherwise have this opportunity.

Through captivating imagery, detailed infographics, and compelling stories, it illustrates the program’s impact—immersive field trips, STEM learning experiences, and unforgettable interactions with marine life. Each page uses dynamic layouts and thoughtful visual storytelling to create an emotional connection, encouraging sponsors to support this mission.

The Adopt-A-Class program opens doors for students to explore the wonders of marine science through activities like tidepool exploration, ship-based research, and lab experiments. These experiences ignite curiosity, foster a love for science, and inspire future conservation leaders. Sponsorships directly fund these experiences, ensuring that every student can access this life-changing education.

This one of a kind, locally owned business has a vast selection of unique products that are inspired by Hawaii and beautifully designed. I managed and expanded their online social media presence on instagram creating short form videos. I planned and managed photoshoots by creatively directing, scheduling and meeting models at various locations. We also managed to do collaborations with well known models and companies in the community. I a campaign at the end of 2023 of their new handbags and wallets collections during the busy holidays. I was also in charge of visiting store locations, assisting with visual merchandising and receiving feedback on store needs or adjustments. I was in charge of managing their email marketing on mail chimp, designing and coming up with engaging ideas for our customers to explore and purchase on our website. I redesigned the Shopify site to allow better customer flow throughout their shopping experience by also reorganized shopping sections to help customers quickly locate potential items of purchase.

Lexbreexy Hawai'i

During the busy retail holiday season of 2022, I had the opportunity to work with an up and coming brand that was gaining a lot of popularity in community. The lead designer and owner Alexis Akiona of Lexbreezy Hawai'i is a creative leader and designer, that shows woman what is possible when you dedicate your mind and spirt to your passions and never give up. She is an incredibly inspiring individual, a wife, a mother of two, that is leading the younger generations and spreading aloha. I was able to grow within this company managing their social media campaigns, giveaways, new released and more. My focus was designing interactive content to boost clicks, keeping stories and posts interesting and engaging while creating strong brand awareness by using the same fonts and colors to remain memorable.
